Well, another year is upon us, with plenty of plans to start the New Year. My goal is to do less of a lot of things, and do quality of those things I'm committed to. Although I was sick all Christmas break, I did enjoy my family so much. Isn't that what it's all about? My Christmas shopping was never finished, cards are still in a pile. Some gifts are still not wrapped, and the few decorations I managed to get up are almost all packed away. My visions of lots of decorating, cupboards filled with homemade goodies, and packages all wrapped up in beautiful bows quickly came to a hault at the Doctors office, but thankfully, I'm on the mend to good heath again.
As I laid in the recliner on Christmas Eve and watched out the window as the Christmas snow softly fell to the ground, I was thankful to be in a warm safe home, with my family healthy and know that I would see my precious grandchildren for the Christmas Holiday. When my one sweet grandbaby held my face tenderly and said, "Gamma, I just love you so much", who could have a better blessing? My other 18 month old grandbaby reached for me to hold her, and laid her head tenderly on my shoulder, who could have a better present? I thank God for the blessings He's given me. His love, His mercy, and His hope.......May you all have a wonderful New Year in 2011.
